Implication of inflammatory markers in post COVID syndrome

Post-COVID syndrome was described in the context of a survey prolonged COVID-19 symptoms for first time 2020, run by Patient-Led Research Collaborative, citizen’s scientist group. Symptoms persisting more than three weeks after diagnosis fall into category post-COVID syndrome. The most common include fatigue, dyspnea, olfactory and gustatory dysfunction, chest pain, myalgia, sleep mental disorders. pathogenesis is multi-factorial. Underlying chronic, low grade inflammation has been theorized pathogenesis. Available data shows conflicting results regarding implication inflammatory markers full clinical spectrum its long-term outcome.
